We offer a number of services to the residents and family members of Downeast Maine as well as to the general public, at no cost when possible.

Our publications include historical books based in the St. Croix region, compilations of articles from noted historians in the area such as Ned Lamb and George Boardman, picture books, and a cook book of favorite recipes, among others.

Each week society President Al Churchill sends out a digital newsletter to an e-mail list spotlighting a particular historical detail or feature from the Calais area. To join, send an e-mail to Al at jaclaw1@gmail.com with a request to join the mailing list.

Every three months, a physical newsletter is mailed to members of the society that highlights member activities and summarizes the goings-on of the past quarter. Historical photographs and memories of past residents are included. To become a member, visit the Support the Society page.
