The regular meeting of the society will be on May 6th at 7:00 at the Holmestead on Main Street in Calais. There will be a short business meeting and short program on the fate of ships built in Calais during the 1800’s. On May 17, 2013 at 6:00  Gary Campbell a New Brunswick historian will present at program at the Holmestead on his recently published book about the Aroostook War of 1839. This promises to be a very interesting evening and I hope many will attend.
